A decorative Sgian Dubh, made from locally sourced ash wood.

The Sgian Dubh was first whittled by hand, then 3D scanned and augmented. It was then CNC milled, scorched and hand sanded. A silver dot inlay is then added, and the piece is finished with tung oil.

The form of the Sgian Dubh is a contemporary reimagining of traditional thistle shaped handles.
